I am in northern Karelia this week at cousin’s cabin. No city or shops near. Good to get some rest for my ears and fingers. Smoke sauna. Swimming (water +12° not too cold). Listening to the songs of “kirjosieppo” bird (ficedula). Exploring the lake with small boat. Bicycling on the country roads. Walking in the forests. Breathing the fresh spring air. Found this island with a lodge and guestbook. Signed it “vicevoids was here”. Reading. Mexican beer made in Poland. Funny Tiktok vids.
Signed up for voice of finland singing competition. Viking Elvis is gaining momentum (a character i am in the process of creating). Just gotta tone down my radical ecofascist ideals otherwise i wont get far on tv (Pentti Linkola might be my new hero). Save ’em for the finals and live broadcasts. That is why i also havent been writing online lately. Facebook and social media platforms are vanilla disconnection machines for liberal humanist democrat fluffcakes. The more you say, the less you are understood. The more active you are, the more you long for the real thing. It creates this blackhole vortex that sucks you in deeper. And i am the biggest AND strongest mama’s boy of them all!
Smartphones are the new cigarettes and soon it will be a sign of sophistication to use them in private or in a designated area so you are not bothering anyone. Status symbols for the spiritually uninitiated. Or am i glorifying a losing battle? Hard to resist them tho when they’re friggin here, there and everywhere. Just one more hit to see if i mean anything to anyone. We all think “i wont become another ant in Elon Musk’s robot army”. But with these phones we are already halfway there. Sell yourself for efficiency. How far will you go? Where do you draw the line?
The vax was only the beginning. I was incredibly disappointed that a) so many took it without questioning anything (cowards… but i still love ya) and b) the virus didnt purge more of humanity. Yet I am a pacifist. War is dumb. Nationalism, cultural identity and ALL government is the scourge of the planet. We need an upgrade to all the institutions and dismantling of those that no longer serve us like church, state and military. Nuclear family is probably balloon juice too. Polyamory is the way of homo spiritus.
