artist vs entrepreneur

Hey everyone.

I’m back at it after almost 2 years off. I always get stuck at the same point it seems. I have done some other business trainings since but haven’t quite cracked the code yet regarding what my offer is to the world and what result or problem I am solving. Honestly, I just want to make millions and live a life of abundance but I am not that crazy about dealing with other people personally whether it’s phone, email or in person. I prefer to spend most of my time alone, focusing on my body/mind/skills. Sometimes I travel and go wild for a few weeks. And then back to recluse mode which is when I am at my happiest.

I’m an artist/musician/writer and more passionate about expressing myself with more complex/abstract emotions, etc rather than analytical problem solver simple survival human. I prefer cinema, literature, mysticism and poetry rather than self-help, business, science engineering. I have really tried to adopt an entrepreneur mindset like Sam has but it just doesn’t feel right for me. I am sure it is effective and it works but for some reason I always need to do things my own way. When I find rules, I want to break them.

I suppose the thing I could teach is how to live like an artist in this day and age. Free your mind and stop being a part of the herd. Think for yourself. Master your mind, body, heart, emotions and wealth. Never feel lonely even if you are alone. I know that is a little vague for anyone who is not me or doesn’t see the world this way. And I guess selling it would already violate what I teach eg. people relying on others to show them something they have to figure out for themselves. So you can see my conundrum.

Any ideas how I could turn that into an offer? And how to look at it from a niche 2.0 perspective (bridging the gap of where they are now to where they want to be)? And everytime I create this customer avatar, it ends up just being the poor, depressed version of me.

As for market research, no I cannot find anyone doing this. So perhaps that is a bad sign. Although I consider myself an integrator of different disciplines. Work and play and even exercise and everything I do is all part of my process. My life is my work. The artist in me wants to express some deep inner truth that I am called upon by the gods. The entrepreneur wants to share it and feel a sense of honor and duty in figuring out how. This is my war and I was born to fight it (integrating art and business).

Thoughts?
