I have managed to cut my repertoire down to
fifty songs (which is still quite a lot). The photo
on the left is of my apartment wall. When I write
a new one, it has to be good enough to make the
50 song list. If it does, then I must choose a song
that will be replaced (meaning recorded & archived
for possible future use). Some of these songs have
been recorded on my previous albums although I
feel that the definitive versions are yet to come.
All songs are to be mastered and performed with
just guitar & voice. Some of them are quite challenging
technically. Others are very draining emotionally.
Sometimes both. But all of them are songs which
make me feel more alive than anything else. I still
have quite a bit of work to do until I am ready to
perform these the way they deserve to be performed.
I feel like I have a responsibility to do whatever I can
to get this music heard. That is my purpose. The path
of this purpose however is one that takes great patience
+ of course practice, practice & more practice. This
is not just a project, it is my life’s work. I am certain
that if I persist, the fruits will eventually bear.
