Dare To Dream

I was always fascinated with music since I can remember. At first it was just the songs I heard from speakers. And there were guitars around. This was a magical mysterious world. It was always something out there. I wasn’t a smart kid. I just wanted to play and eat and get presents. At some point I started messing about on the keyboard I got one christmas. I played finger drums. Some piano. We eventually got a real piano and I took lessons, playing classical stuff. And then one day I decided to learn guitar and got this book from the library. I learned old mcdonald on one string and then two strings. Clapton’s unplugged came out around then. I remember photos of him with all these grammy awards. And how his son died. I progressed. Got more and more into guitar. Punk stuff like Rancid and Offspring and Nirvana. Power chords! I even took drum lessons for a few months but for some reason that never stuck. When I turned 15 my life was a disaster so I started writing songs to express myself. I finished high school, did my military service and continued to write songs and play in bands. When I was 23 I said fuck this and quit life as a tax paying citizen in the modern world. Haven’t worked a normal job since then. I travelled the world and continued to write and started social media accounts which I would experiment with, never quite doing what was expected of me to succeed or whatever. I worked on some projects here and there with different crews. But I was a loose canon. I needed to be free and disappear when I felt like it. The hell with everything else. Something was brewing. Some kind of spiritual truth and justice. It drove me mad. I wanted to understand what the fuck was going on. The more I did, the deeper I went. Now I’m here. Wherever that is. Who knows. Still writing. Still creating. Still understanding. Still playing. Still loving presents. I want to give more. I am more focused than ever. I had to do all that shit to get it out of my system. To know that the flame of love is like a flag waving in a storm for me. It is my nation and identity. I sing for those like me. Who are searching and wandering yet know that this is all what we are looking for and the wandering is just us dancing around, exploring, experimenting, basking in the glow. We are gods, amused by our creations. Taming the beasts and devils in our minds. We are the 1% that rule. And we have a message for you: everything you dare to dream, is possible.
