Something a little different tonight. I’m playing a show in a hostel. It’s a pretty cool place. I differentiate between these kinds of events and the longer shows because this is more of a showcase event where people come to see me specifically. I choose the best songs of course and because I play for much shorter (around 45-60mins) the performance can be much more intense. When I play in pubs/restaurants (where I am playing 2-3 sets for 2-3 hours) I can go through more material, experiment with new stuff, few covers, more drinks, more talking, etc. I honestly like doing both.
There will probably be travellers/backpackers around too since it’s tourist season. I was once one of those… I think deep down I still am. I am certain that at some point it will be time to leave my life here behind and continue exploring the world with my viking blues and gypsy heart.
