Language Is A Problem

From long since discontinued Ruthless Truth forum by Ciaran Healy.

would’nt this liberation thing be clearer if we actually stopped using the word “I”?
and even “we” perhaps… not just on these forums but EVERYWHERE. Even in thought.

so then the above sentence would be:

“wouldn’t this liberation thing be clearer without all this useless language that is used?”

is it possible that there is a root to what we thought was the root problem (ie. “I”)? and that root is the language itself. root = rot.

if that were to be the case, the language system in use today should be completely restructed so that it does not even ALLOW for lying to happen. There should be a universal language. An orwellian newspeak if you will but without the totalitarian agenda. Instead an agenda to free the human race from it’s chains.

and those chains are the thoughts themselves which influence the actions that have got us in the mess we are in. Different languages also influence different kinds of thinking patterns and behaviors. E.g. I speak and think in two mother tongues which are completely unrelated to each other philologically speaking. In my non-english language there is no word for “please” and heaven is just “sky”. Some of the differences are very subtle but can be noticed very well in literature, poetry, etc. Just ask a russian native whose read Dostojevsky in it’s mother tongue and in translations. Translations. That is a form of interpretation. Ciaran talks about this in his thread with steve. The evolution of language. Beliefs, thoughts, etc. There is so much room for interpretation in a language that is too ambiguous. So why not make the language less ambiguous?

Yes, this might make us sound like robots on star trek when we start talking to our friends but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be true or serve the whole.

It’s time to look at the big picture.
Not just our own petty individual illusionary selves.
