It’s all about money. Money this, money that.
You can’t do it if you don’t have money.
We were raised on money.
Some of us become rich.
We all die broke and lonely.
It’s not who you know.
It’s not what you know.
It’s how much money you have.
To make it in this world, you have to either have money
or know someone who has money and who wants to help you with their money.
Your good looks don’t mean anything.
Your love doesn’t mean anything.
Your talents are worthless.
Until you are using yourself
to make money.
Money says so. Money knows.
We are all whores. That is a cheap truth. But it is true.
If you got what it takes and you are playing the game
but you don’t have the money
you are nothing.
You might be wise. Maybe even intelligent.
But without money, you’ll be sweeping streets to make more room
for the idiot’s filth.
We all dream our dreams.
Someone to love. Someone who loves us. Friends to get drunk with.
A nice big house. Safety. Kids. Dogs. Fun, fun, fun. Sunshine & butterflies.
Christmas cards, birthday cakes. Family photos. Disney movies. The great escape.
Happy, happy, joy, joy.
But what’s behind it all?
Money.
What a tragedy.
We want to drink money. We want to eat money. We want to breathe money. We want to fuck money. We want to bathe in money.
So we can shit money. Sneeze money. Sweat money. Fart money. Vomit money. Bleed money. Money is our mistress. Money is life. Money buys life. Money buys love. Love sells. Cheap love. Junk love. Big love. Dirty love.
Love is war. The more money you have, the bigger your guns.
Bang bang bang.
We fight for love. Love of money. Money love.
Money buys it all.
Everything else is foreplay.
Money is the real dream.
Money is the death dance of meaninglessness.
Money is the blood that runs wild. Without a tamer.
Some of us are just more lucky than others.
Some of us are less lazy. Less crazy. Stuck in the back-rooms of insanity.
Some of us realize that our non-being is a clever way
to avoid suffering.
But even after that
at the end of the day,
we got bills to pay.
New toys to buy.
We gotta show our good side.
In the beginning at least.
If we can convince ourselves even just a little bit
that money does not make us or break us,
we might just make a few friends.
We might even
get laid.
What an expensive way to kill time.
What a joke.
Until you have the guts
to become a money burner
burn it all and watch it burn
look at those flames, square in the eye
burn, burn, burn away into nothingness
every last digit, every last dime
every last dream, just let it all die.
Until you know the stench of the evil smoke
the aroma of fading hope,
you are just like the rest.
And so am I.
Money to make money.
To become money.
For what?
For freedom.
Money is power.
Money is God.
Money is a courageous coward
laughing alone in a cinema.
