I’ve been away from society last 6 years (since 2018), my wilderness years. Needed a break and rebirth. Had to kind of relearn everything. Like humpty dumpty putting himself back together again. It was difficult but amazing too. Totally worth it. I will miss it.
Just moved back to the city (decided on Helsinki). Everything feels fresh and new but also scary because of all the change. I recorded a new album of 10 songs and I am very proud of it. Alternative rock. New age country. Something like that. New wave of nordic art rock. Viking blues. I don’t know.
Have zero presence on social media, nobody knows who I am. Just starting my accounts and channels, getting all that going. The world has changed. But has it really? Trees still look the same. Love and God are still banging on the midnight drum.
I’m 41, decent looking, hairy viking beast. High level musician skills (singing, guitar, piano, etc). Dad bod but no kids. Not a super model. Don’t worry, going to gym soon. No band (yet). No connections here. Not much money. No resources really. But happy and totally in love with life. Just wanna share my art with as many people as I can. I don’t care so much about fame, money and all that. I want to inspire others and give them what these songs gave me: everything. A girlfriend would be nice. Maybe one that is also an artist otherwise things can get tricky out here on the funny farms and fields.
What do you suggest is the best way to share my music with the world? Let me know if you have some ideas. Open to new ways. Not so good with this online stuff. This is what I was thinking:
* go to open mics, poetry readings, jam sessions, etc
* upload my new album on youtube
* audition some musicians for live band
* busking (but its getting cold up here)
* record label?
* management?
* booking agent?
* social media team?
I’m really excited and full of piss and vinegar. Spunk and venom. But I got 41 years of failure to keep me grounded and not get too carried away with the rock star dream porn razzledazz.
I wanna get on stage and just love the fuck out of everyone in the name of poetry and song with a hot band of talented misfits. Wanna join?
