No-self, perhaps true. So what?
sure it’s liberating to see through this illusion… for those who really actually believe in a self.
but it’s one of MANY illusions. I don’t think this is the core illusion “underlying human misery and cruelty” (a belief stated in Ruthless Truth main page).
And I don’t think this really changes much. The self is not the main problem.
(note, this also is just an opinion like everything else on this site and forum –> not science)
Nobody is truly liberated until ALL are liberated.
Ultimately, it matters more what we do and how we actually live in the real world (outside our heads) rather than what we think or say or write on internet forums.
Until we start really talking about those life choices, this is all just extra mind noise. Good for some, harmful for others. Distractions for most.
It’s a good forum but some of the claims made on this website and the blog associated with it are complete fluff.
My suggestion, ditch all the nonsense blogs and mission statements and make this about one thing only (and make this very clear):
NO-SELF.
an investigation into whether it is true or not.
