Drinking coffee at home in kitchen. Listening to Children of Bodom’s first album on Spotify from laptop speakers. My laptop is a MacBook pro from late 2011 and still working great. The motherboard was replaced a few years ago (for free by Apple) and since then no issues. I’m reading Alexi Laiho’s autobiography. I’m halfway through and I find it quite boring. But I was a Bodom fan as a teenager wanting to play guitar as fast as possible. I was angry at the world and gravitated to the metal stuff until I met my guitar teacher Mikko Kosonen who broadened my whole understanding of music. Since I can see from the page visitors data that people are visiting my page every day, I wanted to give a little something more. Maybe something more concrete. We got the songs and the lyrics and poetry. And the rough stuff on soundcloud. And the monday morning newsletter. And the photos. But since I am not anywhere else online right now, I thought I could share a little more about my process, my life and the journey so far. I love writing and exploring feelings and emotions with words. I just find that on Facebook when I write, I get too obsessed with all the reactions. They have incentivized people to react quickly. And I get in trouble with people who think they know me. I don’t have time or energy for that shit. The worst part is that we are all just essentially working for Facebook as content creators. I would rather just keep things here where it’s cozy and warm and everyone can say whatever they want. Things also kind of disappear into obscurity on Facecrack. No matter how good the post is. After a week it’s already forgotten. And people who don’t check it every day have missed it and nobody has time to scroll somebody’s wall. It’s already too much content as it is, in the feed. Modern technology is cool. We all have the tools we need to share what we have to say. Famous people have a bigger platform because they have done something else that people liked them for. You do one thing good and suddenly people respect your opinion on everything. That is very strange and illogical. Your plumber probably knows about climate change just as much as that movie star you are watching on youtube. I suppose I should respect your time so I will leave it at that for now. I could keep going forever. See you tomorrow. And don’t forget to subscribe to my email list. I practise my music skills for 4 hours every day and hit the gym hard 3 times per week. Besides that, I am open for anything.
