another one of those days
where all I see is the grey
I am overcome with anger
overwhelmed with hate
I just don’t buy into this modern fairy tale
where life is divorced from other life
maybe it’s the right way to feel
because now I am unafraid to see
that behind the so called happiness
lies a bitter angry misery
friends and family saying life is great
unaware of all the laws they break
besides, happiness is fake
a more accurate word is “distracted”
and that is no way
there are solutions
but most people don’t even know there are problems
or they just don’t have time
or empathy
to care
so don’t talk about love
I’ve only read about it in books
seen it in movies
and thought about it in ideas
we count our notches
we celebrate champions
we measure distances
we award escape artists
just more distractions
to take us away from what we really are:
virgins of love
