Who am I?
I am a collection of memories, beliefs, habits, desires, skills and preferences. But they are always changing and evolving so in a way I, as a separate, fixed (permanent) entity do NOT exist.
I mine as well be a character in a play. But I am also the director of this play. Sometimes there are plays within plays. We play roles and we are played by the vicissitudes of time, mother fortuna and the great perfection.
Nothing exists. Everything is just existING and flowing in this random chaos called life. Like waves in an ocean.
But is there something more going on? Is there a canvas upon which all this perceived reality is projected?
God? Truth? Love? Consciousness? Nature?
Are we all connected somehow beyond all this MIND produced “stuff”?
It seems that yes indeed we are.
Ecologically we are all united.
Oxygen, water, plants, sunshine.
Touch…
Time is the great equalizer.
We are co-existing on a planet that needs certain parameters to be just right for us to even stay alive. Like fish forget about water, we also forget about the fundamental nature of reality.
There is mystery and magic to be found in all this… so much that we don’t know and might never know. There could be worlds beyond our perceptions that we simply cannot grasp. So we create art and religions to make some sense of it. We fear the unknown yet are attracted to it like moths to a flame.
What if the ants are running this show?
I have been playing guitar again here at the hostel. I thought I had fooled the muse. But once again, the gods have made themselves known.
I want to dive into the world of sound and poetry. When you taste it once, you want to go back.
My biggest problem these days is figuring out where to go next. I will probably be in europe for a few more months (at least) and then I’m off to conquer new lands, viking style. Where? Hmmm. India perhaps. Africa. Brazil. Peru.
There will be signs to follow. Telling me where to go next. There always is.
There are retreats I want to do that I think can help me go deeper and wider into the realms where beauty and true power is found. It is my responsibility as an artist to go there and bring back treasure.
* Shamanism
* Psychedelics
* Tantra
* Detoxification
* Sexual de-conditioning
* Yoga, meditation, etc.
These can be powerful technologies for the aspiring seeker.
I still have inner blockages arising. They show up as fear, insecurity, doubt, control, etc. (ego)
We need to maintain an open heart/body/mind to life and all it’s possibilities. Let the gods have their way. Surrender to the great forces that operate behind the scenes.
All the troubles we see in the world are created by division. And even putting this idea of “division” forth via language is another division. That is what language is and does. Labels. Judgements. Language becomes a trap. Some cannot handle it and go mad. Madness occurs when every thought feels like we are in a mirrorland.
You experience a “flower”, smell its fragrance, witness it’s beauty. It is a living thing. Eventually it will die. But we give it a name and cut it and put it in a vase like a serial killer.
I will leave you with a quote from OSHO that perhaps sums up what I am trying to say here.
“If you love a flower, don’t pick it up. Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love. So if you love a flower, let it be. Love is not about possession. Love is about appreciation.”
This song is about escaping prison.
We are free in this moment.
Who are you?
