Travelogue FEB 28

I’ve spent the last 44 days living in hostels throughout the balkans and eastern europe. Now I am in Albania for the last day and it’s snowing outside! I must say, I did not expect snow here.
I’ve met a lot of cool people along the way too. I could easily nominate many of my new friends to be amongst my favorite people in the world. Where are the oscars for that?
I really enjoy connecting with new people, sharing ideas, supporting each other, playing songs, smoking, drinking, dancing, etc. And of course learning and growing ourselves. Even from the people and places we DON’T like.
I continue to learn a lot about life, love, communication skills and how to see our Planet Earth as home for all its inhabitants. Travel is a great teacher. When you become friends with people from different backgrounds, with different perspectives, you begin to see how narrow-minded some people “back home” are.
BUT…
It’s time to calm down a bit. I need my own space. Eat healthier. More exercise. More routine and discipline. Need to focus on my day-trading (crypto currencies) which is something I am quite into at the moment. I made some good investments last year which enabled me to travel. Learning how to make money with money is a very very valuable skill.
And understanding what WEALTH really means. It is not just about money. Wealth is about creating value. Solving problems. Serving others. So it is a spiritual game more than anything else. I don’t care how much you earn or have, if you don’t GET that, you will always be poor.
Do you work for money or does money work for you? If it is the former and not the latter, you are a slave.
So I am heading back to europe for awhile to take care of some business and tie up some loose ends. Italy, Czech, Sweden, etc. Although I’m guessing the cold winter will not be keeping me in the eu for long. Africa? India? So many options… I want to see giraffes and go to ashrams and study with the masters.
I like where this is all going (my life, the world, etc… lots of reasons for optimism if you are following what’s going on beyond mainstream news). I am finding a sort of clarity and confidence I have not felt before, concerning what exactly it is that I want to do and accomplish. And the kind of people I choose to spend my time with. And where!
Some days I still struggle greatly with my moods. But I bounce back quickly. True power is mastery of ourselves. And relentless pursuit of goals. Love is connection. Truth is the realization of that which is. Those three principles (truth, love, power) drive me forwards and guide me when the lights go out.
