but before you do… here’s my take on things.
My theory:
It’s possible that the “self” is just nature or reality or consciousness. Just because we use it in language doesn’t mean it HAS to exist. If that was true, most of what we know through language and thought would have to be obliterated ALONG with the self. (and btw, I’m referring to ‘you’, ‘I’, etc when I use the word ‘self’). It’s just the language trap that permeates this “I” into something more than what it is. Just a way to express ourselves and communicate. Nothing more. Well, it is more for many people who think such things as “I” and “love” and “freedom” and even “truth” are things with some relevance in the natural world; in reality. They are all just concepts and ideas. Even ‘liberation’ is a concept and so is this idea of being able to ‘transmit’ some arbitrary liberation through some method. You’re method is just that, a method. Useless for people who actually “have a so-called life” (although I don’t so I may be vulnerable). Liberate yourselves from liberation you fools!
Although don’t get me wrong, I do not disagree with the central “idea” of your philosophy. I just don’t think it’s significant. It’s recognition is useful, I admit that. But only to the extent of letting us go from our emotional woes. It serves only as a raft upon which we can float when the seas of misery in which we wallow start to suck us underneath it’s suffocating depths. And yes, that can be a step in the right direction if we are to heal our wounded planet. But it is not enough.
The thing is…
that unlike our philosphical meandering, the REAL problems in this world are concrete. They are technical. Sure, the root cause of the environmental, ecological & ethical problems (in other words humans raping the earth and it’s inhabitants) may very well be this collective narcissim of totalitarian modern human culture (ie. post agricultural revolution). Yes, the “you” was the great lie that led the hitlers and killed the truthsmen (hey I just invented new occupation).
BUT…
this doesn’t liberate anyone.
As long as the oppression and cruelty continue to pummel humanity and all that is in it’s crossfire, noone is free.
We are not free until everyone is free.
Thinking you are exists no more than the “you”.
Thus, it is freedom that is the greatest lie. Why?
because when everyone is free, such a concept as freedom need not exist.
I do think that this is a good path to take.
But we must combine our internal psychological “liberation” with living in the real world by making life choices that are in alignment with nature. I’m saying that being liberated on an internet forum doesn’t mean shit if we shove food down our throats that has come from the fruits of cruelty or sucking on death sticks and poisoning our brains with drugs and mindless entertainment.
The war we fight is not only a battle against the great LIE but it also a battle against the cold world out there of oppression (human or non-human).
Animals are dying.
Kids are born into starvation.
Start living in a way where you vote with your day to day choices and habits.
I prefer to sip my bourbon and master the art of cigarette rings.
And turn my head as humanity digs itself deeper and deeper into it’s grave.
Why?
because there is an alternative to the pro-human solution.
What is it?
A world with out us.
Mass-Human-Extinction.
And I know that anybody who REALLY cared about anyone else (or claims to be liberated) would sacrifice their life. I know we won’t do that.
So stop kidding yourselves.
You are not liberated.
Now fuck off or tell me something I don’t know.
